Our collections include paintings, drawings, sculpture, archaeology, local and social history, and objects from all over the world. The Summerfield Galleries contain displays of paintings, furniture and everyday objects from the medieval period to the present day.

  Thursday 20th November at 6.00pm. Craig Schwartz (John Cusack) is a struggling puppeteer. In order to make some money he takes a job as a filing clerk. One day he accidentally discovers a door... a portal into the brain of John Malkovich. Experience the ultimate head trip at the Art Gallery & Museum with this special film showing as part of the Surrealism Returns events season.

  Victorian Christmas
  Sunday 14 December 10.30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm Celebrate Christmas Victorian style. Look at a Victorian Christmas tree and gifts from the past and make a tree decoration to take home. A free event for all ages.
