Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum’s Development Trust is a registered charity through which funds are raised, initially to complete the capital funding required towards the redevelopment scheme, Building for a New Future; thereafter for the benefit of the wider Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum services.

Objects

The Development Trust was established and registered as a charity in autumn 2008, with aims including, the provision of support for improvements at Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum, through assisting in raising funds towards the new development, safeguarding the financial management of the project and ensuring its subsequent viability.

Activities

The role of the organisation is primarily a grant-making one – it will make grants to Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum. The Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum Development Trust Board of Trustees will be responsible for the governance of the Trust.

In raising funds, the Trustees work with staff from Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum and the Friends group.

The Trustees reflect the expertise and professional commitment we have in support of achieving our funding goals for Building for a New Future and the completion of this important and exciting project, that will transform Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum, its work and the surrounding area. Thereafter their support will reflect the wider Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum services.
