Painting on silk

Be inspired by the beautiful bird paintings in the exhibition and create a picture to hang on your wall using silk painting techniques.

Bring a photo of a friend, relative or hero and make your own fabric portrait using different materials and stitch.

Draw inspiration from the collection of Barron & Larcher fabrics and African adire cloths to create your own patterns using flour paste resist dyeing and potatoes.
