A programme of adult workshops inspired by the collections and our exhibitions’ programme led by textile tutor Corinne Renow-Clarke.

Painting on silk

Saturday 22 May

Be inspired by the beautiful bird paintings in the exhibition and create a picture to hang on your wall using silk painting techniques.

Stitching a portrait

Saturday 26 June

Bring a photo of a friend, relative or hero and make your own fabric portrait using different materials and stitch.

Resist dyeing and potato printing

Saturday 24 July

Draw inspiration from the collection of Barron & Larcher fabrics and African adire cloths to create your own patterns using flour paste resist dyeing and potatoes.
